What do you need to know before arriving at Meulstroom to attend a wedding?

Answering some FAQ:

  • WEEKEND WEDDING - Check-in strictly from 16:00 on Friday & 11:00 on a Saturday.

  • FRI & SAT SLEEPOVER WEDDING - Check-in from 14:00.

  • NO ALCOHOLIC beverages are permitted to be brought onto our premises.

  • We do not have shaded parking, or parking at your room. All cars to be parked in the main parking lot.

  • Bring your OWN swimming towels.

  • We have LIMITED cell coverage. Please let you loved ones know in advance.

  • Wi-Fi vouchers available at the office – R10 for 50MB, R15 for 100MB & R55 for 500MB.

  • If you have any dietary requirements - inform us 5 days in advance via email.

  • Our rooms are NOT SELF-CATERING. Only has a kettle and bar-fridge.

  • Check-out is at 09:00 on the day of your departure.

  • NO ALCOHOLIC beverages are permitted to be brought onto our premises.

  • We do not have shaded parking, or parking at your room. All cars to be parked in the main parking lot.

  • Bring your OWN swimming towels.

  • We have LIMITED cell coverage. Please let you loved ones know in advance.

  • Wi-Fi vouchers available at the office – R10 for 50MB, R15 for 100MB & R55 for 500MB (unless included in your booking).

  • If you have any dietary requirements - inform us 5 days in advance via email.

  • Our rooms are NOT SELF-CATERING. Only has a kettle and bar-fridge.

  • Coffee & tea in rooms.

  • Check-out is at 09:00 on the day of your departure.

 

What do you need to know before your child attends a school camp at Meulstroom?

Answering some FAQ:

  • ​Check the buses arrival and departures times directly with school.

  • Most learners have to bring their own bedding - please confirm with the school if it is necessary.

  • Bring your OWN bath & swimming towels.

  • We have LIMITED cell coverage. Please phone our office (Wi-Fi phone) if you urgently need to get in contact with your child.

  • If your child have any dietary requirements - inform us 5 days in advance via email. You might need to pack some items.

  • Main Lodge rooms has a kettle and bar-fridge. Bush Lodge rooms does not - confirm with school the type of rooms they booked.

  • NO ALCOHOLIC beverages, drugs or any other items considered to be dangerous are permitted to be brought onto our premises.

Packing List:

  • ​Snacks and soft drinks.

  • Tabard/ Peaceful Sleep and/or insect repellent.

  • Sleeping bag or bedding.

  • Bath towel.

  • Beach towels, sunscreen lotion and a hat.

  • Something warm for cool nights or if it rains.

  • Cash, debit or credit card for mini shop.

  • Comfortable shoes to go for a walk in our game farm.

  • Old cloths that can get dirty.

Indemnity –

Meulstroom Lodge

I acknowledge that I am well acquainted with and fully aware of the real dangers and risks that are associated with nature lodges arising from the presence of wild and dangerous animals and plants and the real risk of suffering bodily harm, injury, death and/or loss to property which may arise as result of an encounter with and/or the presence of wild animals and plants whilst on the premises or property of the lodge. I also acknowledge that excursions/activities can be undertaken on foot, by car and by river and that those activities carry the risk of dangerous encounters with wild animals, car accidents due to the rough terrain to be covered.

I waive any claim or claims of whatsoever cause or nature howsoever arising against the owners of the lodge, their associates, employees and/or any person connected whether directly or indirectly with the running of the lodge and fellow guests/invitees which I might have arising out of harm, injury, death or loss suffered whilst on the premises or property of the reserve/lodge and whether arising from an act of commission or omission on the part of those hereby indemnified or anyone of them including any activity or excursion.

I indemnify and hold harmless and free, the owners of the lodge, their associates and employees and/or any person connected whether directly or indirectly with the running of the reserve/lodge and fellow guests/invitees from any and all claims of whatsoever cause or nature which may arise on behalf of my children and or other minors under my supervision should they suffer injury or loss whilst on the premises or property of the reserve/lodge and whether arising from an act of commission or omission on the part of those hereby indemnified on anyone of them. In the event of injury the reserve/lodge may at its discretion and without prejudice and without admission of liability arrange and pay for emergency medical treatment for and on behalf of any guest.
